Important: As a registered charitable organization (Section 8 Company), all donations made to Panchamveda Oasis Foundation are considered voluntary contributions and are generally non-refundable. However, we understand that genuine errors can occur, and we have provisions to address such situations.

By making a donation to Panchamveda Oasis Foundation, you acknowledge and agree that:

We will consider refund requests ONLY in the following exceptional circumstances:

2.1 Technical or Payment Errors

Eligible for Refund:

  • Duplicate transactions - same amount debited multiple times for a single donation
  • Incorrect amount charged (e.g., ₹10,000 charged instead of ₹1,000)
  • Payment gateway technical failures resulting in money debited but donation not processed
  • Unauthorized or fraudulent transactions

2.2 Non-Eligible Situations

NOT Eligible for Refund:

  • Change of mind after making donation
  • Financial hardship of donor after donation
  • Disagreement with how funds are utilized
  • Personal reasons or donor's remorse
  • Tax planning changes
  • Donations made more than 7 days ago (unless technical error)

3. Refund Request Timeline

3.1 Request Window

Refund requests must be submitted within 7 calendar days from the date of donation for technical or payment errors.

3.2 Processing Time

Total Timeline: Complete refund process may take up to 21-30 working days from the date of approved request.

4. How to Request a Refund

Step-by-Step Refund Request Process:

  1. Contact Us Immediately:

  2. Provide Required Information:
    • Full Name (as per donation record)
    • Donation Date and Time
    • Transaction/Order ID (from Razorpay receipt)
    • Amount Donated
    • Payment Method Used
    • Detailed Reason for Refund Request
    • Supporting Documents (screenshots, bank statements if applicable)
  3. Await Verification:
    Our team will verify the transaction details with Razorpay and our records
  4. Receive Decision:
    You'll receive an email with approval or rejection of your refund request with reasons
  5. Refund Processing (if approved):
    Approved refunds will be processed back to the original payment method

5. Refund Method

All approved refunds will be processed through the same payment method and account used for the original donation:

Payment Gateway: All refunds are processed through Razorpay. You will receive a refund notification from Razorpay once processed.

6. Partial Refunds

In case of processing fees or transaction charges:

Example: If you donated ₹1,000 and gateway charges were ₹23, the refund amount will be ₹977 (if approved).

7. Cancellation Before Payment Completion

If you initiated a donation but did not complete the payment:

If your payment failed but amount was debited:

Most failed transactions are automatically reversed by banks/payment gateways within:

If auto-reversal doesn't happen within the specified timeframe:

  2. We'll coordinate with Razorpay to expedite reversal
  3. Provide your bank statement showing the debit

9. 80G Certificate and Refunds

Important Tax Implications:

  • If an 80G certificate has been issued, refunds become complicated
  • Refunded donations cannot be claimed for tax deduction
  • You must inform your tax consultant about refunded donations
  • We will revoke the 80G certificate if refund is processed
  • You may need to file revised IT returns if deduction was already claimed

10. Disputes and Resolution

10.1 Dispute Resolution Process

If you disagree with our refund decision:

  1. Request a detailed explanation via email
  2. Provide additional evidence if available
  3. Our management team will review the case
  4. Final decision will be communicated within 7 working days
